Glacier Bay Premiers 30' Cuddy Cruiser Models in Miami

Look for Glacier Bay Catamarans’ new 3070 Isle Runner and 3080 Coastal Runner models to premier at the Miami International Boat Show Feb. 15-19, 2007. These cuddies promise serious cruisers and anglers a long list of features including next generation hull design, generous storage and fish locker space, unique galley design and versatile stateroom configurations. The 3070 provides for convertible boating with protective canvas (option); the 3080 utilizes a taller, welded windshield design that mates with a hardtop.

With the 3000 series models Glacier Bay continues its tradition for building quality power catamarans known for their exceptional ride and stability. “The 30-footers’ all new combination of patent pending hull design, surface piercing PWR rails and new Super Chines, provides the softest ride, along with exceptional stability, available in the catamaran market,” says Glacier Bay President and Founder Larry Graf.

Anglers will appreciate that the 30-foot cruisers’ storage capabilities and many functional fishing features including four, storage compartments (two large fish lockers, lazarette and fender storage) and five, full sized tackle drawers. The deck is pre-stiffened with aluminum backers for mounting a fighting chair with room for optional folding seats. The cruisers’ 18-gallon transom sink can be plumbed as an extra live well and under the dinette seat, where it doesn’t take up cockpit space, is a 45 gallon bait well with a patent pending drain system that won’t stress bait.

The helm station on the Glacier Bay 3070 and 3080 models offers real estate for a full complement of gauges as well as an electronics panel wide enough to accommodate two, 15” monitors. The custom, three-function helm seat converts from helm to cockpit chair and can be stowed for galley stove use. In addition, the cab-forward design nets exceptional forward cockpit space for a large lounge seat and unique “galley up” design that houses frig, range, microwave and sink. A clever step down to the galley allows it to convert to additional cockpit seating.

Incredibly large for a 30-foot boat, the cruisers’ master stateroom offers roomy quarters with several configuration options: king, queen with a single quarter berth and an optional rumble bed.

The 3070/3080 models are powered by standard twin, 250 HP outboard engines, weigh from 10,100 – 10,600 lbs. and measure 10’ 8” in beam. They are trailerable with a local permit and a capable tow vehicle.
