Glacier Bay Catamarans
Earns Customer Satisfaction Award

Glacier Bay Catamarans was recently recognized at the 2005 International BoatBuilders' Exhibition (IBEX) in Miami Beach, Florida for excellence in customer satisfaction by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). Larry Graf, president of the Monroe, Washington-based, power catamaran manufacturer accepted the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Award during the annual IBEX Awards Presentation on October 21 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

"We are delighted to have won this award, which shows Glacier Bay's commitment to exceed expectations at all levels of product quality and customer service," said Graf. "We are pleased to raise the bar on customer satisfaction and expedite the important communication process between the manufacturer, the dealers and the customers."

Glacier Bay was one of 20 fiberglass boat manufacturers nationwide to be recognized at this years' event. The marine industry CSI Awards Program recognizes participating companies that are actively measuring customer satisfaction in the pursuit of continuous improvement. To earn the award, Glacier Bay achieved and maintained an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher customer satisfaction over the past year.

"The commitment to overall customer satisfaction with their products demonstrated by these award-winning companies is moving our industry ahead as we work to improve the boating experience and grow boating," said NMMA President Tom Dammrich.

Glacier Bay has always valued its customers' suggestions. "In an effort to build the best possible boat and meet our owners' needs, we have always incorporated customers' recommendations into our models," explained Graf. "Given our commitment to listen and respond to our customers' needs, the CSI gives us another dynamic tool with which to provide a great boat-buying experience!"

Founded in 1987, Glacier Bay Catamarans builds more than a dozen models of 22, 26 and 34-foot power catamarans in a modern 128,000 square foot facility. Known for setting the "gold standard" for boats of this type and size range, the company's reputation rests on its patented displacement hulls, which "cut" through the water and provide Glacier Bay's now famous, dry, stable ride.
